(Deutsch) Transmission mit sieben PS: Ein Stück Braunschweiger Geschichte
Artist Maic Ullmann showcases his paintings stemming from a visit in 2012 at the former tunery “Elsner & Holdschmidt Nachf.” at the Kulturpunkt West in Brunswieck. The vernissage took place last friday. The paintings, displaying hammers, skrews and other items of metal, are tributing to the existince of the former factory on the one hand and to the technology of the 1920ies which is the transmission with a motor of only seven horsepower.
The art exhibition also tells the story of Brunswieck’s industrial history. Built in 1895 the factory went through difficult times especially during World War II and henceforth because of technology change to which the company could not live up to.
